Acting UP is pleased to announce its reopening! We will be presenting A Broadway Revue on September 11, 2021 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm in our “home venue,” the Roswell UMC Fellowship Hall.
Acting UP is seeking actors/singers to perform musical numbers from well-known Broadway shows. The Revue will open with a number from Come From Away as a remembrance of the 9/11 tragedy. Our closing number will be “One Day More” from Les Misérables.
Auditions will be a video recording of your solo, duet, trio, quartet, or small group performing the piece you would like to be considered for the show. If you are interested, please click on the following link to complete the audition form:
Note: for group numbers, only one performer needs to complete the audition form
Acting UP will consider submissions from newer musicals, but the intent is for most of the show to consist of numbers from classic Broadway! We also hope to include at least one musical number from each of our past shows, so you might consider submitting numbers from Godspell; You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown; Oklahoma; The Music Man; Bye Bye Birdie; Mary Poppins, Meet Me in St. Louis, Annie, as well as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
If you do not want to audition for a number on your own but would like to be involved in the large group numbers, please complete the audition form at the above link and indicate as such.
The Narrator(s) for the Revue will be selected via an in-person audition. If interested in auditioning, please complete the audition via the above link to indicate your interest.
There will be a mandatory dress rehearsal on Thursday, September 9. There may be two or three other rehearsals for the group numbers as well.
We look forward to seeing your audition videos and getting back to live theatre!
